Leveraging Our Time and Expertise Through Online Offerings

One of the silver linings of the Pandemic was the necessity to operate in a virtual environment. Across the independent school spectrum, both schools and associations that serve them moved classes and professional development opportunities to the online space. Even with the return to in person, associations, in particular, realized that online learning had become a permanent reality and important component of any professional development line up. During the Pandemic, associations across the Southeast Collaborative network shared webinar offerings, offering co-branded sessions for members of their associations. This allowed us to offer webinars on a wider array of topics thereby leveraging our time and expertise. This practice was wildly popular with school administrators and faculty, allowing them to engage and learn from the comfort of their own home, office, or classroom. In addition to real-time offerings, on-demand sessions became equally popular.

Over the last 2 years, the Independent School Collaborative has expanded this notion of co-branded professional development to include a series of over 60 1-hour webinars for independent school educators. Complimenting this is a series for leadership. For additional information, please contact Linda Nelson at lnelson@independentschool collaborative.org.
